I wish my excuse for my absence was better, but it's just computer woes. I spilled liquid food on my laptop keyboard, and consequently I was without it for 10 or 11 days. I wish also that I could report that the flow of information was interrupted, but the truth is, there just hasn't been a lot to diseminate.
Ryan and Pat spent spring break with Grandma and Grandpa in Corpus, and Linda took Hannah and Cole to Six Flags in San Antonio. I was only alone for two nights, but the peace and quiet was almost too much to handle. Everyone returned safe and sound and we're all now back into the normal school routine.
I guess the most interesting news is my changes. I'm starting to have trouble with my hands now. Shaving, using scissors, writing, and fine motor activities in general are getting tough. My speech is so bad I feel like rewarding someone if they can understand what I'm saying now. My legs are getting really thin (and weak), and if i walk without any aids (like a walker or hanging on to something), it feels like I'm walking on stilts. That's from the balance mostly. My neck gets tired very easily now, too. I have a head support to wear, but it prevents me from tilting my head forward (which I need to do to swallow saliva), so I don't use it much. Also, daytime sleepiness is becoming a nuisance, but hopefully a prescription of Provigil will alleviate that.
Oh, I almost forgot...we now have a cat named Kaiser. One of our neighbors moved to California and left us Kaiser. He is morbidly obese. He sleeps 20 hours a day.
Well, as I am having to compose this in an uncomfortable chair (since our wireless router mysteriously stopped working 5 days ago), I will conclude. Stay tuned.
